Re: Where to go in OR or WA?

Forks would be a great base. There are many rivers to choose from. A guide would be well worth it. A lot depends on the river flows and number of fish returning. You don't have to plan much else...

Re: Trout in an aquarium.

I ended up not putting trout in the aquarium. Without the water temperature low enough I thought it would be cruel to the fish. Kind of like fishing restrictions when the water is above a certain...

Re: Moving to Seattle.

Thanks everyone! I have invested in some good rain gear. I was there a couple of years ago and got into some salmon in the Campbell River on Vancouver Island as well as great cutthroat in Western...

Moving to Seattle.

So I am making the move from sunny, beautiful, troutful, Colorado to Seattle. Anyone have tips or live in Seattle and want to show a small stream guy around?

Dams on Patagonia's rivers.

There was a video posted on Moldy Chum this morning complaining about damming a large river in Patagonia. This would be bad for the environment. But how should this country with so many rivers...

Re: Fly fishing - becoming more or less blue collar?

I am glad to see this is on people's minds. Our next issue of Blood Knot Magazine will be the "Blue Collar" issue. When it comes out, I would love to see what everyone thinks of the rag, but also the...

Bali, Indonesia.

Just wondering if anyone has ever been fly fishing in Bali, Indonesia. I am headed there next month. Jigging and dynamite seem to be the other means of acquiring fishes.

Re: Looking for some Input

My first rod was a TFO 5wt. I still use it. One winter I broke a guide off while trying to remove ice. They replaced it for $25 no questions asked. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Re: Bloodknot Magazine

Yes we are similar to Catch in that we are both online about fly fishing. However, Catch is pure entertainment. Catch is fantastic for what they do. They don't do gear reviews, industry news, or the...

Re: Hawai'i bound!

I don't think so. I have no desire to go to O'ahu (unless it is for a day of fishing). There is already a lot of information about fishing there.

Thanks!

I am looking to get to Florida in March to write an article for Blood Knot. There are many options, but what is the best? The Keys look fun. How long would I need down there? I was thinking 2 full...

Re: Casual Beginner Outfit - TFO NXT or other options?

NXT was my first setup. It is great. TFO has a great warranty. I broke the rod and they fixed the broken piece for $25 no questions asked.

It is a great deal and fantastic way to get into the...
