Re: Confessions of a Serial Fish Killer

No I get it Ard, it really didn't take much force to break but it was more of the axis in which I applied that force.

I've always understood the correct way to free a snag is to hold the rod...

Re: Broke my Fly Rod

Yes, in the first pic I posted that small broken section fits smoothly up into the female ferrule.
Jack there is no doubt in my mind the manufacture of this rod was/is top notch and has nothing to...

Re: Broke my Fly Rod

If these are my problems well then I have no problems, besides I'm pretty sure I can open my shed and find at least 5 or 6 rods for replacement.:D

Re: Broke my Fly Rod

Kind of hard to tell because its all splintered. The other side of the break had a 6" splinter missing down about 1/4 of the circumference of the blank. It was attached to this piece but fell off in...

Broke my Fly Rod

Was fishing this morning got a snag and gave the rod a bit of a jerk. I don't think it was all that hard but obviously it was hard enough. It broke down on the bottom section of a four piece rod...

Re: Simplifying/minimizing fly boxes "on the water"

Shure I'd start out the year like this one with well manacured fly...
