Re: Bleeders...

I don't feel bad at all. The fish was fine. I caught him and he was a bleeder, I put him back and caught him a year later (and an inch or two longer). So clearly he was no worse for the wear.

Re: who uses waders all the time?

The places that I trout fish are COLD. As in, elevations over 8000' and water temps in the low 40s. So I tend to wear waders.

Re: Catch the same fish twice in one day?

I can't definitively say that I've done it in one day before. I know someone who's caught the same trout twice within an hour on multiple occasions. I've caught the same fish twice with a year in...

What do you want to fish for? Carp? Gar? Bass? Catfish? Trout?

You can find a lot of small carp in the Lake Hefner side ponds. They're not big, but they're very plentiful and very eager. ...

Re: Have you ever broke a rod? How's Montana?

Maybe you should focus a little more on the school and a little less on the mountains, snow and fly fishing. ;)

Re: Looking Back on 2011, Your Best Experiences & Days of The Year;

Re: Cutbow?

Re: To wade or not to wade?

Re: 3WT DT or WF ?

Use a DT. They're basically the same for the first 30', and with a DT, you can turn it around when it starts to wear out and get two lines for the price of one.

Re: williston, nd

If you've got a boat, there's some decent walleye fishing on Sakakawea. Without a boat, things get a lot tougher.

Re: williston, nd

You can safely say that there are no trout streams anywhere close to Williston. You're moving there for the money, but be prepared to give up any sense of recreation...
