It's one or the other, I bought a new rod & reel combo that also came with the backing line and fly line coiled up in the reel, the problem I see is that when the fly line is all coiled in the line...

I agree roll casting will work, I'm nymph fishing, would it make sense to put a 9wt line on (I don't think so) but I want somebody to tell me.

Also sink tip or sink line?? And st DT or triangle

I was looking for some info, I just bought a used 7wt 7 1/2 fly rod and wanted to know if this will work on streams that are about 50 yards wide, as long as I get the 7wt line, I'm going to nymph...
