Tippet rings are called "jump rings" in the jewelry industry. You can buy brass or sterling silver rings very affordably. They are softer metals though. The option I chose was to buy some from a...

Re: How and when did this happen?

This is an interesting and somewhat timely thread for me. For now... I finally have my quiver where I want it. As odd as it seems (to me at least), I'm actually considering upgrading a few of my...

There was a thread or two a short time ago about waterproof cameras. The favorite was the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS5, regularly $349, being closed out for $199 (no tax & free shipping) among others....

Re: Hardy Zenith 6 wt. or TFO BVK 7 wt.?

Re: Fishpond Nomad Mid Length Net - how to carry

Re: Two of the same rod ?

I have twin Zenith 6 weights. I bought one, then found a "too good to pass up" second about the same time I broke the first. Hardy fixed the broken rod so quickly, I still haven't broken the seal on...

JP,

I was reading through this thread and preparing a response. It looks like you hit most of the high points already. I'll throw out a couple of less expensive options that I personally think are...

Absolutely! I replied to that email. If you are willing, I wouldn't mind having a "bit more" of a selection.

Thanks again!

Re: Up eye, down eye, straight eye... Does it really matter?

Got it! I am learning to ask the question before going too far down any rabbit holes. ;)

Perhaps the direction of the eye has something more to do with what gives the most room for the eye based...

Re: Got my new "Green" Kraken today!

Re: Got my new "Green" Kraken today!

Re: Up eye, down eye, straight eye... Does it really matter?

Ard,

Up eye, down eye, straight eye... Does it really matter?

I'm currently tying buggers - some with cones, some with dumbbell eyes, some intended to float "hook up" at the bottom of a river (sculpin pattern). I get how to tie on the dumbbell eyes and how they...
