Getting stoked for the trip...ordered the booze for the evenings yesterday and order the flies today. Got my priorities right.

Alaska salmon

Heading to Alaska for Silvers, Dollies and maybe trout. Going to bring an 7 wt with versa tip. Any idea what size leaders and tippets I should bring.

Going to Kodiak in Sept. One of the guides sent me some info about what I should bring. Think we are targeting mainly silvers but also Rainbows and Dolly. He said I should use a 7wt rod with Rio...

Well I went out and gave it another try today...Fish were jumping at bug I guess...Everytime i had a bite I could set the hook. Too much slack in the line.When the fly is out there I get a big bow...

Live in the Sierra foothills about an hour from Lake Tahoe. In the area there are many small and large lakes. Off those lakes there are many, many rivers and tributaries. I would like to go fishing...
