You can substitute anything you want- that's what makes tying fun. So, sure sub buck tail for moose- I think the moose is coarser and more dense, so the buck might not sink as well.

I had a squeeze bottle of GI bug stuff leak in my briefcase once. It melted my AM/FM radio. It took a week of exposure to the air before the plastic hardened.

Knock wood, I've never taken a header in the water in waders. I have sat or kneeled suddenly, but those have been pretty well controlled. Hunting , on the other hand, I've hunted quite a few places...

I worked mid shifts for 8 years straight. As I said above, I really liked it. For a lot of reasons ( not the least of which was shift diff). I thought I'd have problems when I went to day shifts....

I really liked working mids when my kids were young. I hunted or fished after work in the morning. That put me sleeping afternoons/evenings, then getting up for work.

I replaced mine with a Timney 6 years ago. Then I adjusted it heavy enough so it didn't scare me, just surprised, me when it went off.
