Re: Galvin Brookie: What are your thoughts?

If you have to use a Allen Wrench to set the drag, I'd consider that to be a major negative for the reel.

Re: Is fly fishing an elitist activity?

I don't know if it's a elitist activity; but, I do know it's hard to drink a beer while fly fishing. Spin fishing out of a boat and it's a breeze.

Re: floating or sinking line for muskie

I use the system single handed in lakes all the time. It's a heck of a lot easier to control and cast than sinking line.

Re: floating or sinking line for muskie

A floating line and this. http://www.theflyfishingforum.com/forums/how-spey-cast-technique-advice/360935-getting-down-sinking-fly.html
It works great on single handed rods also.

Re: This will keep me fishing for awhile...

I've actually had the jerky and it wasn't bad. Here is an article on it. Foremost Coyote Hunting: Eating A Coyote (http://www.foremostcoyotehunting.com/2011/02/eating-coyote.html)

Re: This will keep me fishing for awhile...

Coyote make fairly good jerky also. You just need to get past the idea of eating it and the rest is easy.

I've never thought about it for most reels. For 2 handers, I do think.

Re: Tibor makes no sound out going..?

My Tibor is louder coming in than going out. I don't see how it can be made silent.

Re: What Did You Buy Today?

Once I get myself dug out again, it'll be more gas for the 2 snow blowers that I use. Of course when I go for gas, I'll have to check out a couple of rivers to see if there still open or frozen.

Re: Scott F2

I haven't fished it, but it sure looks nice. The one person that I know that uses a F2 loves it. I grew up in N. Charleroi and think about a visit to the area since I last visited in 91.
