Noise when casting Zenith

Does anyone else notice the sound from the guides when casting a Zenith fly rod? Using Rio Gold (5wt). Very irritating.

Re: Loomis Streamdance GLX 6wt

How about a Sage RPL 7wt or Sage Xi3 6wt? Would one be better than the other?

Re: Loomis Streamdance GLX 6wt

Great advice. If I can find the right 6wt, I should be good. Will take 3 rods on this fun trip. ... I'm in Texas, how is your market?

I'm open to suggestion. I also have rods from Hardy, Thomas & Thomas, Cabelas and Bass Pro. Any thoughts for my upcoming trip would be appreciated.

Interesting, thanks. I have a 590-2 RPL and I can't see any difference in the hardware but I'm sure your correct.

Re: Sage VPS info needed

Got it. This is the VPS. My other option would be to get a VXP on sale at Cabelas for $345. More money though. Hmmm?

I'm looking for information about a Sage VPS 6wt - 9' 4 piece. It looks similar to a RPL from earlier years, is it the same blank? I like the RPL in a 590 but need a 6wt. Would anyone know how this...
