Re: Noob ? Loop Knot or not?

I use both knots on a regular basis. I use a non-slip loop on streamers and large nymphs, I use a clinch or improved clinch on dry's and small nymphs.

Re: Alaska Trip Report July 2014

Re: Difference between Loomis NRX Green or Blue?

I recently ordered a new rod from Loomis myself. I asked the very question of the rep. He informed me that the colors were purely cosmetic. Same rod, same action, just a different color.

Re: Questions about making wire leaders.

I do not personally do a bunch of pike /musky fishing anymore. I do however make custom leaders for fishers chasing all kinds of toothy critters. We typically make a short steep taper leader 36”...

Re: Keeping track of leaders

I like to put the leader back into the package it came from. The leader insert should tell you what weight / length it is. We just started selling the leader wallets below and are already out of...

Re: A knotty question

Not sure if the leader was one of ours or not. We make a 50” leader for short rods, but not a 55”. Either way, a knot in a thread furled leader will not create a weak point as in a tapered...
