1. Single foot guides
2. Cigar shape cork
3. Single foot flip up hook keeper

Where do the crappie go?

Maybe all crappie behave this way, or maybe they are just the ones by me, but they all dissappear during the summer. In the spring, I can go out to my local reservoir and catch about 20-30 in an...

Re: A Con Game...Beware

Definitely terrible what happened to you, but I don't think it's justified to condemn all paintball ranges. I used to play a lot when I was younger and I never experienced this. There are crazy...

Cemetery ponds, acceptable or no?

I noticed a few ponds at a local cemetery recently, and according to Google maps they seem like a nice open spot for fly fishing. I haven't determined yet whether there are even fish in them, but I...

Re: Well that didn't take long...

Very interesting. The only downside I could see is that the material couldn't really be easily be repaired like cork can be filled.

Re: fighting butt

I have a 6wt with a fighting butt. I guess it just depends what you use it for and if you like fighting butts or not.

Re: Post your labor day weekend success (or skunking)

Well at least you got to see him and get an idea of what was on the end of your life. The worst break offs for me are the ones where I never know what type of fish it was or how big it might have...

Post your labor day weekend success (or skunking)

I was fortunate enough to hit my local trout stream two times this long weekend. I thought that I would share some of the pictures I took, and would love to see some others from the rest of the...

Re: Schooling on Hooked Fish

I've also seen this from carp, as well as bass and some of the other fish mentioned. I think that sometimes this is a because the mate or parents/children see the fish in distress and are concerned...

I have the 2wt 8 ft superfine touch and it is an incredible rod. Very slow action, but will be bend to the cork even with a small fish. That being said, its got muscle when you need it and I have no...

Re: Ultralite fly setup

1. I didn't make fun of you, only said you got played, which you really did.

2. I didn't realize being 25 years old now qualifies me for "OLD FART" status. Good to know. Looks like many of us here...

Re: Ultralite fly setup

Lol I think whoever sold you 2 hydros reels for a 2wt rod swindled you. Unlikely you will ever put a fish on that reel, and drag system is 90% of what you paid for.

Sounds like you got a...

Re: Tippet Ring Knot

Is there any chance that tippet rings could damage guide inserts when reeling the line up? I would think it could potentially hit the inserts as it goes through and cause a little damage over time.
