I've had the plastic o ring holder/pawl burn out on a velocity 2 and a guru 3 fishing steelhead...this caused the spool to rub the frame (nasty grinding feeling) and I had the spool pop off one time....

The last time ive been there was this past summer in june....It was middle of the day and hot. I just fish undercuts and weed edges during these times. Right now is hopper time...really productive...

I have put a CFX2 on my 6wt recently and did battle a few big bows on recent trips...its a fine reel. I love the detented spool idea and the carbon drag. You wont go wrong fishing bauers.

New unfished winston B2x 9' 6wt

Price lowered 250.00 on rod and 300.00 for the reel. Shanes glass builds use the same hardware, silks and flora grade cork as his cane rods. This cork is much nicer than my high end...

I believe it is a signature build. I purchased the rod directly from Shane...6'6" 3 wt. The rod is not nearly as yellow as the pictures dictate. This is cane quality craftsmanship.
