Just got my flies in the mail. They all look awesome! I'm sorry about my noob status, and I feel bad, especially after looking at all the great ties. I will get better, I promise.

Larry, thank...

I have some experimenting to do, but I believe I will be tying a Petticoat Streamer in appropriate colors.

Looks like I'll be there both days. Saturday afternoon with my fishing buddy, and Sunday with my wife and 18 month old son. Really looking forward to this.

Somehow I missed the nymph swap, but count me in for this one. I'm a noob, so I'll be doing some research to figure out a pattern, hope you guys don't mind.

Re: Do We Have Any Interest in a Fly Swap?

I'll offer up a suggestion. Instead of tying 12, would you all be willing...

I have no knowledge of the waters in your area. That being said, I'll share my experiences with you.

I was "in the same boat" as you a few years back. I wanted an aluminum boat that would handle...

Re: beer love

Haha. No, my brother in-law is here for the holidays, and he brought me some. I like the Double Haul too. The Big Sky offerings are great too. Did you get the Ivan this year?

Re: In need of help

I know, and have made plenty of substitutions. I just tell my wife I need one thing. $50 later, I walk out of the store with a bag full.

Got mine out today, along with some donation flies for PHW and CfR. There's a chance they'll arrive before Christmas.

Thanks for the kind words. Not sure they're really warranted, but i appreciate it, none the less. There is still a lot of room for improvement, but that's what keeps us coming back, I suppose. ...

I just started tying this fall. After my swap flies were completed, I figured I'd step it up a notch, and start messing with articulated flies. I've been watching a lot of videos trying to grasp...
