My kinda fishing right there! I love small pockets with willing trout, colors are stunning, dry flies all day, combat fishing is the best kids imo.

This is near tenkiller, correct? I researched fishing that area for trout last time we were in the area.

Another thing I forgot to ask is.

How do I fish streamers/nymphs/ poppers for blues....

Thanks for the help on fly choices! I'm really excited to visit the family, just as excited to fish for some new species. Now to sit at the bench and bang out some flies, most all my buggers are too...

Re: I don't hate snow but I hate bad fishing!

I did enjoy the adventure, I know my post came off a little crass. It felt good just to stand in the river (or on the ice lol). I knew what to expect too, I can only hope town melts slow enough to...

I normally do go to the "horn" end of March, annual trip with some friends. This year our...

Re: hows this inventory?

I would say make sure you have some 16-20 flies, dry and nymph.

8wt is way too big, imo. You really needed smaller fly line to have a cast that does not smack the top water if you looking to fish...

Re: "SW" Montana=125% snow pack!

Clark's fork of the yellowstone melted in the canyon this week but still had ice in Belfry caused a flood watch. We had a week of 40+ temps and it's melted so much snow in town too. It all depends...

Re: Spring runoff on the Blue.

Sounds like the flows have been higher due to realising water all winter. So I think they have been managing it due to the snow pack already. That's the word from my friends in the area any how.
