Re: Wtb - Rio Grand 7wt

I have a new one that I bought a few years ago for an overlining experiment. I never used it so it has just been sitting in the closet. It is pale green and I think the current model is two tone so...

Re: The quintessential 8ft 4 wt?

This is one of my favorite configurations for small stream trout. Versatility is a must on our waters as any outing could involve dries, nymphs and small streamers. The four I currently have are:

Re: 2015 Orvis Safe Passage Sling Pack

I just added this to the appropriate spot on the strap, hangs right down the center of my back. You could do the same thing with a D ring if you preferred....

Re: Hardy fly reel spring removal

Just to add to Jaybo's instructions, take a quick pic before you start and removing the pawl will give you a little more play in the spring while removing the spring. You can bend the spring to give...

Re: Hardy fly reel spring removal

Not familiar with that particular reel but you mention two springs and made by Hardy. Is the spring system the same as the Hardy lightweight series? If so, it is relatively easy and I will try to...

Re: Small stream trout

The next time the water is a little off color give it another try. It will give you a better chance while working on your presentation and stealth skills.

Re: 2XL Tall fishing vest?

I don't know how much space you need but the Filson strap vest and foul weather vest allow enough adjustment you should be able to wear it how you like from shorty to pretty long.

Re: lead sizing

My friend Google says no, it is not available at Hobby Lobby or Jo-Ann's. This really is a specialty item to add weight, I can't think of any other use for it.

Re: Sage and rio to sell direct

As long as they are selling at full retail who cares. If I have the choice to buy from a local shop or order directly from Sage for the same price why would I ever consider not buying from the local...

Re: Public access, driftless area of Wisco.
