Tied on a Playfair Limerick, a slightly longer shank hook.

Nice pattern not often seen, partly due to the fact is was only recently discovered in a collection owned by the Irish government.

Hook is a Noble DS from Ronn Lucas, not overly happy with the wing, but best attempt at this fly. Only the third time I've tied it in 4 years. First salmon fly I ever ties was a JS.

I tied this one for a fly plate for the up coming Atlantic Salmon Fly International show in Seattle, June 3-5.
I'll be tying at the show, but I believe the plate is for a memorial.

Picked up this rod for $118.
13'6 3/2 bamboo with bag, ferrule plugs and spear.

13'6 Hardy Palakona "The Wye" 3/2 cane salmon rod, which I gather from the serial
Number stamped on it, was built in 1938. Got it for the princely sum of $118
