Re: Costa Del Mar Howler Sunglasses (6 months old)

Agreed. They are not overly large, I just like my glasses to stay put on my face/nose and these slide down some. I should really be in a Medium size frame. These glasses look and work great.

I just don't use this pack. I got a lanyard and I prefer it for simplicity. The pack is 6 months old and is the standard blue color. I can get a picture tonight. It is in great shape, looks brand...

Re: Slatwater fly fishing websites..??

Not a online store or place to buy gear, but this site has really impressed me. I picked up their tarponology issue and was impressed. Site has tons of great info for tying SW patterns

Re: Fly Shops and YOU!

Attitudes of the owner is critical. Many are snobs and I will avoid a shop just based on that. Outside of that classes, guide trips and knowledge of local water is critical.

I think most big...

Re: Redington Predator 8 wt?

These are good points. I like the 8wt because we have some lunkers in our lake. But for 1-2lb fish the 8wt is overkill. 7wt might be better, you could always overline it for Saltwater use.

Re: Redington Predator 8 wt?

I have the 8wt Predator in the 7ft10 length because STP had a smoking deal on it. Great rod when I paired it with some Sage Bass Taper Line. Caught tons of bass on it and it works well

Re: Just got a new combo, did i get screwed?

Sounds like a good combo, if you are new it is always a good idea to stick with the shop's recommendations until you are more comfortable picking your own gear. I will tell you that I have found...

Re: Rod for Louisiana Redfish

Redington Predator 8wt. Over line it to 9wt. Great rod, great price. Pair it with a good large arbor reel and you will be good.
