Fishing is a...

Re: Rod Storage

I bought a ceiling rod rack from Cabelas that is mounted to my basement joists. It's dead simple strip of hooks (plastic) that hold a bunch of rods. Costs somewhere between $20 to $30.
Flyrods are...

Re: Orvis T3 vs Superfine

I cast the Superfine 5wt full flex Orvis rod yesterday. It was very graceful in laying the leader out. But I didn't like the lower line speed and authority that my Sage gives me.
They didn't have a...

Re: You have to read this

I was in the TCO shop today and asked Tony (owner) if they were involved. He and his staff knew nothing of the event.

I'm stopping in TCO this afternoon. I'll ask the owner, Tony, if they are involved. I hope not.

Re: Sticky rubber vs. felt and studded felt

Does the scrapping noise of studs on rocks spook fish?
Second, how are sheet metal screws mounted on felt soles? Are you walking on the screw heads?

Re: Orvis T3 vs Superfine

The bulk of my fishing in Pa would be on 130 ft and less stream widths for stocked trout.
I have an Orvis dealer nearby as well as another full shop that sells Orvis goodies. I can, and will, test...

Re: Orvis T3

Orvis T3

I like Orvis products and would like to try one of their rods. I just can't justify the price on the Helios, but would consider the T3. Is this a good casting rod in 5wt?

Re: How close is too close?
