I love Fly Fishing!

First, I have to say to:

mridendur, busbus, ithrnk03, and jaybo41:

"You don't own me"
"don't tell me what to do"
"I don't tell you what to say, or what to do"
I'm free, and I love to be...

Re: "The night I put my Fly Rod down"

I've already done that! Even though I'm a "born again" fundamentalist Christian, the more I read the Bible the more I'm finding faults with that also! I have a scientific background and...

"The night I put my Fly Rod down"

$800 fly rod, $400 reel, $100 line, high tech waders, Stetson hat, "realistic" feather flies, and years of experience, but the Gulp Alive baits on a spin rod will make you put the fly rod down every...

Summer Fun!

I'm having so much enjoyment with my 3 wt and my pontoon float tube!

I fish several lakes in central PA, and I catch like crazy every time I go out. Even in a deep water lake, the fish feed on top...

Re: Embracing The Future

"Orvis Sonic Seam" breathable chest waders!

Perfect fit, and so easy to put on and take off. I've had them for a year now, maybe 200 fishing trips, and no leaks!

Sonic seam means no stitches at...

Re: Best fly fishing video ever!

So funny!

So very true about the "fly fisherman" with his bobber and mending like a idiot! That's where I use a UL spin.

Fly fishing is only great with top water or a streamer and no stinkin'...

Re: "I Give Up...(almost)" Update

I just don't understand this casting thing! The very first time I picked up a fly rod, I could make a perfect cast every time!

Lefty can cast 60' without a rod ...... only fly line! LOL

I guess...

Re: Guide Costs and Gratuities

Things are different here in the states!

America ranks near the bottom in almost everything, we have the most stupid people who ever lived! Most poverty folks will give 10% of their...

Re: Hot summer water, I backslid to drop shot!

Or you could use a "slip float" with a UL spin? Set at any depth? Very easy to cast, with no long leaders to tangle you up?

These modern slip float setups are really neat!

Hot summer water, I backslid to drop shot!

All the fish moved to deep water in the lakes I fish. I'm catchin' like crazy with a drop shot on my UL spin gear.

I know that I'm a back slider, but the big fish stay in deep water in mid summer....

Re: Say wot??? $89.95?

Me! I got caught up in all the hype. That stinkin' line would hurt my fingers, so I put a piece of tape on my finger! LOL

Now I only use WalMart AirCell line for $17 ....... and it works better...

Re: Extrodinary pictures. Took my breath away.

Amazing pix! But I thought all Russians were starving poor and wanted Americans to paint gangbang graffiti on their trees?

A "sprawling" farm and a decent camera? And how come that kid didn't have...

Re: I have too many rods....

"I'm going out to fish," Simon Peter told them, and they said, "We'll go with you." So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. John 21:3

LOL! How stupid they must...

Re: Sunfish with a UL fly rod!

Sorry, dude! That rod says "classic trout". Please remove that label before you fish for the Godly bluegill!

Re: Watercraft Advice Needed

I purchased a Scadden Outcast hybrid float tube.

For fly fishing it is the only way to go, both fins and oars?, and all I can say is:

"On I sweep with trashing oar"
"Singing and crying"...

You are still a young, pretty fly fishin' girl, so I'm sure that you will heal quickly.

First let me say that I admire you above all others on this forum! I've read every one of your posts.

But the "12 hour casting thing" is just insanity! Why? so you can become a "elitist"?...

"Mealy Masters"

I've been fishing with my $800 Helios, and I'm catchin' a few. Usually I have to slip a Gulp bait on my fly to catch. Even the stupid fish won't hit a died feather fly sometimes?

I thought "why...
