I have had most reels and i love my FWX reels.
Have them from the 1/3 up the the 7/8 and all do there job well.

I like my sealed drag reels.
Nothing wrong with standard open cork drag reels if you fish from a boat but if you are wading rivers, flats, etc then a sealed drag stops sand, silt, dirt getting in...

So for my light river gear i would have the following:

Kabuto fibreglass with a FWX 1/3

Scott G2 8ft 4" 4# with an FWX 3/4...

Have a look at the Marryat Tactical 10ft 3# its a sweet tool if you can get it there.

I use my Scott S4 10ft 4# a lot and thats great at dries as well as nymphing.

Personally i use Bug-Bond which has the market share in the UK.
