Re: Bad fly shop, A word of caution

I'm sorry to say, but all that looks like more excuses. When you are in business you darn well better have on hand everything you advertise. If they aren't a mail order shop then they should shut...

Bad fly shop, A word of caution

So it's been well over a month(11/7/08) now since I placed my first and last order with TCO flyshop. I only ordered a few things, a stacker, some dub, roll of thread, about $20 worth. It has taken...

Re: Yo, Axel27

Spoke to my tiger cub last night, seems he'd be willing to start flyn' with dad if I bought him a cheap combo. If he gets any good I'll build a rod for him and put an Orvis on it.

Re: Whats the secret for fly fishing for stocked trout

Hatchery fish have no fear of color and flash. That is the one significant difference I see. BUT there is a catch, if they are spooked, then go back to flies you might use for natives.

Yo, Axel27

Went down to Stoney creek, via Harry Murray's of course. Picked up a couple of Mr. Rapidan emergers and bead heads sizes 12+14 ea(use em for examples for tying). Talked to Harry a while he informed...

Re: San Juan Worms

Ultra chenille, I use red white and pink. Red works best hands down. Use a lighter to taper the ends.

Re: Hogue Creek, VA

The trick to that place is distance, the further you go the more fish you find, because the holes closest to the bridge are wiped clean in just a couple of days. I've walked back about 300 yards, but...

Re: Hogue Creek, VA

I've lived and fished here(NOVA DC metro)all my life, just pick a piece of water, unless it's trout, or small mouth waters, it's all the same.
