Is that south? I hiked blue lines at the local park on Wednesday didn't see anything.

Its a rhododendron. Laurel is the smaller of the two. Good sign that bows and browns are around but not many...

The Boy Scouts have a merit badge for fly fishing and a publication on it to teach the scout all needed to earn the badge, my son picked one up at the local scout center. It is very informative

an eagle claw featherlight 8 footer, says its a 5/6 wt but i like to toss 7 and 8 wts with mine. i usually use the 7 foot for carping tho. doubt you'll break either

i got my wife one a while back, for the money its a good rod. bit on the heavy side but not clunky like most cheap rods, has a nice action to it for beginners. and it is good on the eyes as well

I use a write in the rain pad and a matching pen. Fully weather and water proof. I also have a thermometer to keep track of water temp.
