Re: Old Cortland reels

Sorry Bob, but I plan on using the multiplying reels. Glad I bought 2 extra spools when I got them. Sort of thought they might be Hardy and have enjoyed the convenience of the fast line pick up. Also...

Nope, never gone after sea run trout. Have tried Shad a couple of times, but just caught Herring and the damn eels. Eels I found best to just cut the foul creatures loose!

I seem to favor...

Re: What does your bench look like?

My old bench had been moved a couple of times too many and has been relegated to taking up space in my cellar woodshop, so I decided to make a portable type bench that my wife might be willing to...

Re: Rod matches Reel vs line Wt?

I am just getting back into fly fishing, but found a big difference in my old glass or bamboo rods to the new graphite rods. In doing a little research, it seems as if the marketing people have...

Introduction

Hi All,

Just joined up and waiting for the ice to leave. I used to do a lot of fly-fishing, tying, and rod building, but kids and sports, WORK, and Town Boards had me change direction. But that...
