Mark,

Got my flies in the P.O. box today. They really look great. Thanks again for running a great swap. You must have a miniature post office sorting station in your workspace! Great job.

Re: Caddis Life Cycle Swap

Maybe you could let me know what I might do to tye better working/looking flies? I am pretty new at this and each pattern is an adventure - lol.

Hope you catch a lot of fish with them.

They are in the mail! Actually was able to get to the USPS Friday. Hopefully the Barr's Net Builders will be there this coming week, despite the storms. It was fun learning how to work with all...

Mark,

I have the Barr's Net Builders tyed and will tag them today and hopefully mail tomorrow. We have had quite a bit of snow lately (5-6 feet in the last 7 days) so I have not been able to go...

Re: Swap for Kids

Is the type of fly open or will there be a particular focus? I have a grandson who is interested in tying flies so I am just curious.

Re: Caddis Life Cycle Swap

I was hoping for a bit more time since I am not too experienced at these advanced flies, but I will give it a go. I asume the Basic Box swap is still due on 3/15 and that i'll need to tye 12 flies...

Re: Nymph Swap Fall 2009

Great Mark! Looking forward to seeing the flies from the other folks.

We are up to 48 inches of snow so far this winter. It looks like we will be taking a bit of a break the rest of this week.

Re: Basic Box- Trout

Mark,

I think I would like to also try tying a Net Builder which I think is a nymph/emerger. Saw the pattern on another web site and they mentioned a fellow named John Barr as the developer of...

Re: Basic Box- Trout

Mark - I will try to tye the "Foampy" a dry fly variant of the "Humpy" if that's OK.

Thanks for taking on this huge task. I might look over some of the other swaps and enter two this winter. ...

Re: More Fly Swaps for 2010

Sounds like a fun winter. Once we have 6 feet of snow on the ground here, not much fishing is happening - so tying will fill the void!

Looking forward to hearing from you Mark.

Re: Nymph Swap Fall 2009

Howdy Mark,

Do you still think you might divide the swap into two groups? I've tied about 6 of the pheasant tail nymphs with degrees of success! There is quite the range unfortunately, but as...

Re: Trout Streamer Swap, Fall 2009

Mark,

Thanks for saving me a spot in this swap, but I think I will just start my swap 'career' with one - the Nymph. So please take me out of this one.

Thanks
