This is Hot Creek, CA...one of the premier(Blue Ribbon) Trout streams in the Eastern Sierras, where the fly fishing can often be quite technical over selective feeders...a spring creek full of weeds...

In my experience, the Owens River, below Tinemaha Res. is best fished with a spinning outfit and nightcrawlers...it is way too murky and muddy for effective fly fishing, plus the banks are too steep....
