I'm 60 and the thought horsing a kayak on top of my van would keep me off the water more often than not.

I got this cheap, cheap, and applied a little...

Re: Kayak Question

SOT all the way:
Ample storage, stand up, sit sidesaddle, virtually unsinkable.

Stability is the key for a fishing platform.

Re: Orvis Superfine 3wt- maybe the best for me

Every once and awhile, one particular set-up will speak to you.

Re: a short fly rod?

If you are fishing places you can't take an 8'6" stick, casting distance shouldn't be an issue. Many times I have used the top section of my 9 footer and just put the reel in a pocket. Normally on a...
