I have a buddy that floated the deerfield since Irene and he had some luck. That being said they are predicting rain for the next three days, and there will be some flooding. but i say hell try it...

The swift river does have alot of nice trout but if you are new to the sport i would tell you to stay clear. The river has no character and the fishing is to technical. I would say maybe the Quinnie...

Trout, mostly small streams although this is gonna be the rod i take to bigger rivers i still want it for nymphing on my home streams. Also, there is so much bank growth and over hanging branches...
