I'm not real big on using it for dry flies myself, maybe its like Silver said and I'm just not getting quality stuff. I do like it for soft hackles and emergers, it holds air in the feather barbules...

I've got a 6'6", 6'8" in 3wts and a 6' 2wt, all good on small waters.

Its all about adjusting to the shorter rod, after a little time on the water you should be good to go.

I'm with Ard on this one, I made myself use my reels on every fish, once you get into the habit of picking up slack on every hookup it just becomes second nature, for me if I've got a pile of slack...

With glass you are limited on length, if you are looking for something over 8 or 9 feet you would have a hard time finding it in a 3 or 4 weight.

You don't have to get everything at once, if it were me I'd pick up a Hungarian Partridge skin first, you have many more pattern options with it, go from there.
