Welcome Joe

Re: Broken wood reel handle help?!

I have a varity of hard woods in stock, from almost white(tulip) to black(ebony), I could make them in almost any color you could want.

Great idea on the colored handles

Re: Broken wood reel handle help?!

If you have to glue the handle on the reel, coat the post with a light coat of paste wax and use waxed dental floss as a clamp.

Re: Broken wood reel handle help?!

I would use Titebond II, clean the wood with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, then wet it with a damp paper towel to help the glue flow into the pores. Make sure to put a light coat of glue on all...

Re: blued, stainless or doesn't matter

My vise has a chrome finish and never bothered me.

Gun blue will not work on stainless fyi, black sharpie will, and can be removed with rubbing alcohol if you ever want too.
