Re: Tying Micro Streamers?

Well the easiest thing for me I have found is to sub out materials. For the life of me I couldn't tie a good wooly bugger on a 3 or 4 XL 14 hook until I simply dubbed the body. They work just fine....

I am assuming you are still in Herky or at least somewhere in the Show Me State. If you need help on the water give me a heads up when you all are going to hit the water. I'm sure I could...

Winter Smallies Ozark Style

As some of you may know the trout parks here in MO aren't my cup of tea. However, in the winter the smallies from a couple of adjacent rivers tend to push on up into the springs when the water...

Re: Winter 2015/2016 Fly Swap

#kindofsad.... spent a more than a few bucks on materials for 12 streamers. I hope in the future there is a better end result. I don't think I will participate in another swap.

Re: I'm just not winter material.

Our water stays in the mid to upper 50's so the fish are still full of **** and vinegar. It would make sense that the lower the water temp, the more lethargic the fish are.

Glad to hear that you...

Re: Any damage reports from Montauk or Bennett?

Mike,

As of today the Current is still at 2.16 at the gauge and running at 314 cfs. IMO it is too dangerous to wade. I won't wade until it is at max 200 cfs. I ain't as good as I once was, but...

Re: Winter 2015/2016 Fly Swap

It has/had nothing to do with anything. I made the comment knowing Larry's wife is a Cubs fan from other threads. I think he knows that it was made tongue in cheek. No offense intended.
