Re: Replace or use ?

Have you heard of these? Made in Sweden from good carbon Sandvik stainless steel. Very reasonably priced. Whatever you end up going with, it wouldn't hurt picking up a Mora too. Many end up...

Brown Hackle or Red Tag. Easy and has taken a lot of fish over the years.

Re: Lake cottage find. Dickerson bamboo, old Medalist and flies.

Nice find and generosity of family.
I like Ards idea of full on resto. Any time I hear "great grandfather's" I start thinking full on resto to really honor the old craftsmen and old ways.

If it...

Here are 2 examples where the opposite is true of cannabis. It is a very sustainable crop, uses half the water as cotton.
As well it has tremendous value as a bast fiber and the resurgence...

Re: Marijuana Could Wipe out Salmon

Good point. Cannabis is a drought tolerant species. In the wild these plants require little water to flourish. To say that growers are jeopardizing salmon populations is plain propaganda. I am...

Re: Fall Run Substantial on Miramichi - and Margaree Just WAITING... Oct. 9, 2014

I love that we sold one of our natural aquifers to "Mr. Burns". :( Even after he commented on how PEI needs more deep water wells.

Re: Clear small stream tips and advice

Re: Clear small stream tips and advice

Re: Wormy trout! Yuck!

That's quite an image you created there. I used to see sea run brookies that had gill lice galore and a few worms here and there. But never the degree of infestation you described. Sounds like too...

Re: Observations and questions

I'm not sure what your trouble is without seeing but many beginners make the mistake of not stripping in enough slack line just prior to commencing the cast. Keeping the rod tip lower to the water...
