Re: First Fly Rod Help! Allen,Redinton,St.croix or Loop

Another one to consider is the 3wt Three Forks 7.5ft rod. It is a nice stream rod for a beginner.

For dry flies in the up coming summer and fall fishing season, learn to tie an elk hair caddis in different sizes and colors. It is a very versatile fly as it can be taken as a caddis, stonefly,...

Re: Camping Laws, Wy.-Mt.-Id....advice sought.

I can't camp at campgrounds so I only camp in dispersed or boondock areas. I have looked at a lot of maps.

Re: Places that are world known... but lame?

Lame....may not be the best word in this situation. Not up to expectations maybe?

Re: Camping Laws, Wy.-Mt.-Id....advice sought.

Out of curiosity I looked at the Big Horn National Forest Dispersed camping rules. An interesting mix of no information and too much! This NF has more little designations than most. It seem like...

Re: How to Stay Safe in Bear Country

I shoot well, but I prefer to carry bearspray. I feel it is more effective and more versatile.

By versatile I mean all of the other problems you may run into. I haven't yet run into a bear while...

Re: how often do you keep your catch?

Re: Camping Laws, Wy.-Mt.-Id....advice sought.

Here in Idaho and many other of the nearby states it is usually referred to as "dispersed camping". You need to look up the website for the specific national forest or BLM area to find out their...

Re: Jackson Hole - July 4 weekend

I don't really know what the runoff there is doing. I might be wrong, but I think that most of the small waters in Teton Nat Park are closed until Aug 1. There are some exceptions. But check the...
