Unhappy Goodbye, Morton. It was a heck of a ride.

I know this is not fishing related. We had to put our cat, Morton, to sleep last night. He just "celebrated" his 17th birthday...a h*** of a way to celebrate it.

I have written about him before...

Ron Hart vs. Simms Wading Staff

I got the chance, over the weekend, to compare these two staffs (albeit on dry ground). I almost bought a Simms staff but the bride got me the Ron Hart staff for our anniversary.

I can tell you...

Re: Waaaaay off topic

Fred, up 'til a couple months ago, Morton would fight like crazy to sit between me and my laptop screen. Now a cat that is north of 25 pounds is a lot of cat to have between you and your laptop! ...

I have read numerous dog-related posts here and have really enjoyed them. I love dogs. Our lives, unfortunately, do not lend themselves to have a dog. It would be alone too much and that is not...

Re: Faster rod or slower rod in this situation?

Question about those older glass rods. Whenever you see 6wt, what does that correspond to in today's terms? 4wt? 5wt? I was just wondering how you determine what to line it with?

How about...
