I see my buddy Nick is still catching big Cats. The fly I use for both Carp and Cats is a brown DDH Leech. Works wonders and catches big fish.

Re: Manitoba countdown

You can catch all those species on the fly. My best so far Walleye 28 1/2 inches, Channel Cat 40 inches, and Northern 44 inches. Trout fishing on the west side of the province is unreal and you have...

Re: Help Please!

One fly you should have in your box is a DDH Leech. This fly just catches fish pure and simple. Just google the name and you will see the video for it.

No need for smell of any kind. When I fish these critters I never spray anything on my flies and some days I even outfish the bait guys.

Re: Finally!!!!

When the hatch is heavy enough all the different species on the Red will feed on mayflies. It is quite a site as there are 100 rise forms no matter where you look and it makes it hard to keep your...

Re: Using Toothy Critter leader

The best knot that I have used was shown to me by Lefty. The figure 8 knot is one of the easiest to tie and if you leave a long enough tag you can undo it and retie in the same place.
