Catskills

With a day off tomorrow I would like to go into the Catskills.
I'm new to the area. I live about 40 minutes from the Ashokan.
I'm thinking of the Beaver Kill or Neversink? Any suggestions?

Re: Nikon D5100 for a first DSLR?

If you do buy used, ask for the shutter actuation count, it's found in the menu under exif.
DSLR shutters should last 100,000-150,000 clicks.
Used with a couple thousand clicks is decent.

Go to Cameras from Nikon | D-SLR and Digital Cameras, Lenses, & More (http://www.nikonusa.com) and search for refurbished equipment in the store.

Re: too shiny!!!

Sorry to offend.
But it's a powder that wipes off. It doesn't have to be Krylon,
there are other manufacturers.
I'm a beginner and have never used it on a rod, I was
trying to think out of the...

Re: too shiny!!!

Go to a photo or stage store and get a can of dulling spray, such as:

Krylon: Products: Dulling Spray (http://www.krylon.com/products/dulling_spray/)

Don't spray it on your line.

After searching 15 pages of gear related threads and not finding the answer that suits me, I'll try here.

Re: Line Wt.

My mistake, thank you all for commenting.
When I posted the question I was at the computer looking at the receipt.
I was charged for the WF4F however, on the reel spool, which I noticed later,
I...

Line Wt.

I'm a beginner, and have just gotten a 6 wt rod.
Been practicing on grass (dry flies) and have been to a stream once.
My local shop put 4 wt. WF line on the rod, and I'm wondering,
am I losing...
