I never send anything on how I was going to get the fish yet, so don't make any assumptions. This is a private hatchery, I'm not sure yet In what size fish they sale, for I just received a reply...

Why not lol. If it does not work and the fish dies (which I highly doubt), I will just eat it and get some other type of fish.

I talked to a Michigan hatchery, I asked if it is legal in MI to put hatchery bought trout in a fish tank. They said it is legal, but you can't release them without a permit.

The tank will be in my basement, plus browns don't need colder water like brooks. I'm going to try it either way . I will update my finding this spring.

I was actual thinking about getting a 5 gal, and breeder bugs, or if possible breed them in the tank itself. Sounds like a great setup you have or had.
