Re: Fly Flotant?

I use Gink. It seems to work well enough. I already got drawers of fly line and other things I've tried to find the "best" of... No need for a drawer filled with a dozen types of floatant

I think I'll follow suit and go with a hot butt partridge and peacock. Either in #16 or #14... Haven't fully decided on size...

Re: How many waders do you have?

I have one set. LL Beans... Turn around is relatively quick. Think it took 7-9 days at the most. I have spots I can fish that don't require wading.

Re: Affordable 9 weight for a rookie

With how often it seems BVKs break I'd never recommend one... Let alone to someone new who's loops may result in lead hitting the blank... Leading to breakage...

I'd "third" the recommendation of...

Re: How Did You Get Your Wife Into Fly Fishing?

I too am in the same boat Scott. It's tough enough to find a lady who understands our needs... Let alone how much time and money we spend on those needs... I've heard plenty of stories of breakup...

Re: Question on St Croix Imperial old or new version

2011 should be the newer model. You can tell the difference by the reel seat. Older models have a walnut insert. Newer have rosewood.

Re: Blue Sapphire

That Clout rod grip looks beyond ridiculous... 30 years from now it'll be one of those things we look back at and go "wtf"... Much like square fiberglass rods or steel fly rods
