Re: Cheap Renzetti Travelers

I've had an original uncoated Cam Traveler for a dozen years, no problem. I lived in the humidity of the east coast (DC/B-More) for many of those years, and the humidity of Korea the rest. The only...

Re: How do YOU spell this fly?

Wooly Bugger or Woolly Bugger, seen it spelled both ways all over the place.

Re: Worst fishing gift ever?

I've never touched one, but they sure are pretty, and you're the first negative comment I've read about them. If yours are other than black, they cost more than $50. ;)

Fish graphic are $100,...

Re: Free Today Kindle Reading Trout Water by Hughes

I was able to get it, and I'm in Korea. Although, I don't remember how I set up my Amazon account...it might be registered as US, since my mailing address is the States.

Re: Hit the Trifecta today.

If you're catching them for the frying pan, I agree. If you're fishing for fun, you should rethink your perception of carp. I was brought up and taught to hate carp, and somewhat bass too. The...

Re: New Reel Coming Soon!!!

A 7-8 would hold a 2wt also. :icon_roll I'm sure I could cast a #24 midge with a 14wt too. SMH... :weight_li

That's enough to loose my interest.

Re: 3w = CRAZY FUN!

3wt was my go to rod for many years. Now I have a couple 2wt rods too. My heavy rods haven't been fished in a long, long time.

Re: 3 wt question/advice needed.

I'd also go with the longer rod. My 3wt is 7' 9". I've got a couple 2wt rods, one that's 6' 6" (SFT) and one that's 7' 3" (TFO Finesse)...I prefer the extra length if there's room to swing it.

Re: My New Stick!

Congrats on the new bug wand! I've got a "thing" for large arbor reels; I just wish there were more large arbor reels out there for us obsessed with ultra light fly fishing.

Re: Fly fishing in Korea?

Innes, I'd like to see a map of some spots too. :worthy:

Stimpy V2, I'm a little south of where you're going...I'm not a city guy, I avoid Seoul like the plague. I'm always willing to head east...

The only time I've ever targeted yellow perch was through the ice...so no, not with a fly rod.

Re: I am addicted to fly fishing for carp,

There's talk of a big 17 year cicada hatch this year on the east coast, if you are in an area that will have that hatch...I'm envious. Carp go after cicadas hitting (with a PLOP!) the water with...

Re: North American fishing club product tester?

I've been a life member of the NAFC for quite a few years, they have a pretty decent magazine...but not much in the way of fly fishing. They have an online forum too, but it doesn't get much traffic...
