Jim, good things for us all to remember. I totally agree with Mike's comments. Mike and I went out and enjoyed a stellar night amidst a rare rain in Wyoming. My first inclination was to fish...

Re: 2 Boot questions

I had bought Simms wading boots before I purchased my Korkers. I will not go back as I love the interchangeable soles! I have felt, where allowed, the rubber and I use the rubber/metal studs most...

Re: How old is your 'fishing car?'

Well, mine maybe the newest and certainly is not the oldest. I finally traded in my 360,000 mile truck for a 2013 F350 with personalized plates "Troutn"

I fish this tailwater when back home to visit during the holidays. The midge hatch has been insanely good for Turkey Day and Christmas. Too much high water last Christmas to fish.
Any news on...

Re: Good day on the water

I don't like to take my phone with me as I don't like to be bothered with work stuff. 95% of the time, I have my water proof camera on my wading belt.

Re: Pointers

Rednax, I think starting with bluegill is a great way to start fly fishing. In fact, I typically suggest fishing poppers for bluegill in our May spawn here in Missouri. I will drop up a San Juan...
