I don't want it to float. On a Klinkhammer, that portion of the fly should be subsurface. I want it to have movement under the fly.

It's the fluff from a pheasant feather. It should add too much weight. I will have to dress the hackle to keep it floating. Just an idea I've been thinking about for a while and I decided to try it...

I keep all mine in one big freezer bag. I just pull out the zip tie with the color I want and go from there. I also do this with darlon, zlon, florofiber and so on.

I got it from Davie McPhail's video "Tying the Pearly Griffiths Gnat & Cow Dung"

It's a smaller version but I think it will work well on the tiny tan midges on my favorite lake.
