Weak and strong acids refer to the equilibrium tendency of each acid and not the concentration - It is very true that a high concentration of a 'weak acid' will be corrosive....so never mistake weak...

my advice would be to follow your dye manufacturers instructions.
Jacquard recommend adding the dye, letting the feathers take it up then add the acid - the bath in this case retains the color of...

Kool aid dyeing, in my opinion, is not as rewarding as Acid dyeing. The results with acid dyes are much more consistent.

Give them a thorough wash and make sure they are completely dry before you store them. A lot of folks freeze then, ask this did is arrest growth, but not kill...There is a big difference. I dint...

Hook from Byron Bjerke, a 4/0 Philips Jones, the profile of which i think really suits this fly.

Working my way up to a Nicholson, probably on the same style hook, given the proportions and body...

I love my 3 wt CT, its a cannon, but can do the soft stuff just as well.
Thats said, i'm embarking on a 1wt build, Orvis Superfine Touch. There is a stream near me that is just begging for that...
