Re: Small water/short cast fishing question

Fish up stream. Wear natural colors. There's 2 cast. One is a short line helicopter cast and the other is a hang down look and chunk cast.
The set up is a 9' 4x and 18" of 4x tipper. Then a dropper...

Re: Skagit Leaders

I use a short .024 ish 18" double looped mono on my mows to not cut into the line coating. ( Or a Albright knot with the home grown tips. )
I find 20, 15 or 12 lb flouroclear, because it's cheaper...

Re: Carp Leaders

I use about that on to a 30 butt so it doesn't cut into my line. It turns a weighted wooly bugger over just fine for me. I think it's little stealthier than a tapered leader. The waters I fish are...

Re: Which Switch rod for surf casting

Wink Re: Diving Caddis...

I love the old school wet fly patterns. The old "cow dung pattern" has the same kinda look. More green though. (The late 1700's i believe.)They definitely still catch fish.
