Tippet to leader idea

In place of the usual blood knot, has anyone here ever tried tying a perfection loop in the end of their leader and then clinch knotting the tippet to the loop. How much would this affect turnover? ...

There's some good fishing on Northern Wisconsin spring ponds for brookies if you're willing to explore and walk a little bit. Try some ponds in Langlade County if you're willing to make the trip.

8 Weight all day long...I run into too many pike when I fish smallies to go any smaller. Plus I like knowing that I can get the fish in as quick as possible for a healthy release.

The majority of fishing I do from October through April is trib fishing. Usually the Manitowoc County tribs, but I made my first trip to the Sheboygan River last weekend.

Definitely man. IMO, there's not many things more satisfying than chasing wild brookies on the fly. There's some great streams up north.
