the Featherweight is the better choice as all have said , just make sure as said before ..put plenty of backing on it , makes the fly line into bigger coils when on reel .
I use a Ir2 for my 1wt...

Hi, I would see how it casts.... if thats the line you have, otherwise I would use a 3wt line , WF is my preference , I have no experience with the Rod you have but underlining it may tone the Rod...

For a day out on the Stream , Roast Beef & Mustard(english) rolls, pork pie, Snickers. bottle of water & flask of coffee all in my backpack to keep my going.:)
