AS well, It seems my front end is pretty solid and maybe too solid.

Yesterday I had on a massive carp. I would guess it to be 20lb+...... into my backing for the 3rd time and my albright knot broke....

Luckily by diving into the water I was able to grab my line...

I got some more info today from a manufacturer and some other reels as well as pricing.

This morning I went out there just to look around. While I didnt go in, I saw a Heron slowly walking across the creek. Only a few inches up to the herons legs.. so maybe it is safe...

How can you tell if water is safe to wade? DOwn the street from my house there is a creek, a dirty, muddy, brown creek.. loading with carp.
I'm debating wading it , but dont feel like drowning?
