Im surprised nobody has suggested midge clusters yet. Due to a breeze or currents midges like to drift together and get stuck in mats. Often times the most aggressive rises I witness in winter months...

Take a look at Oasis tying benches. They are not for everyone but they have all the necessary tool spots and some cool functional ideas. Im sure if you are good with woodworking you can make one...
