Ran into the exact same issue with mfc. Broke quite a few on small snags and such. I use alot of streamer hooks, so mine were all larger.

This is just my opinion, but i think hares ear, pheasant tail, and prince patterns will cover all your nymph needs. Just vary the colors. Dries can be elk hair caddis and any wullf pattern....

I bought the tt in 5wt about 8-10 years ago. I really liked its ability to load a rod at shorter distances and it roll casted like no other. Nowadays i have a faster rod and need something different...

My cousin and i go to for steelies every year. Guy that catches the most fish buys dinner and the one that lands the biggest buys beer. Kinda weird but thats how we do it.

I used allen streamer hooks. Size 8 in the rear and six up front. They are 3 1/2-4 inches long. I tied them up to hunt big trout.

For neoprene i go with cabelas 3 or 5 mm. Breathables its simms or orvis.

I like stocking foot if its a little warmer or im going to be walking alot. I have a pair of simms freestone boots to go...
