hanks for the tips guys. i practiced again yesterday while concentrating on being as smooth as possible and it really helped a lot. i think my main problem was that i was trying to muscle it way too...

almost all the bass fishing i do is in thick cover and vegetation. i use a lot of surface flies. plus ive never used any kind of sinking line and im scared to spend $80 without ever using that type...

ya id say thats a big fly... what rod are you using when your throwing that fly? i have an 8 wt loomis crosscurrent. you think that line would work good with that rod throwing flies about half that...
