Re: Length of four piece rod tube

I just measured. They are both 32". The only place that ever makes me check them is Narita. Never got through that place with the sticks. They have a cm limit and that's it. No way, Jose.

Re: Why buy high end?

I don't have any high end stuff. I have a few older English Hardy's. My Medalists work just as well, I just like the look and sound of the Hardy. It makes me happy.

I can see where someone...

Re: TFO Pro Soecial

It's a good rod and that's a good price. I have a 6 and would not hesitate to get another if I needed one. I use it for whites, crappie, and bass.

Re: Walleye and Pike Opener

Re: catfish on the fly-advice

"Chamois leech patterns with bead chain eyes are great."

These work pretty good. Clouser types are also a good choice. Cats are predators and will nail a minnow that swims by. I've caught...

Re: How fast can you close your front door?=Skunk sitting on my front path.

I have 2 special memories of skunks.

1: Let my dog out to pee. She starts howling and when I opened the door, she shoots in and runs straight past me to her "happy place". Our bed. The stink...

Where were you? I've fished the Lower Peirce Res a few times. Didn't do so well, but it was nice to get out of the city.

Re: NC fly tying EP fibers?

This is great stuff to do just about any baitfish pattern you can think of. Really easy to work with, but like tbblom mentioned, it takes a bit of practice to get the hang of. A little bit goes a...

My desk at a Marriott right now. I travel with a bag of stuff to tie with when I'm on the road. Never, ever, not once, had a problem with my stuff in carry on. On the plane, no. I just read or...

Re: the other rods?

I had one leaning on my truck while I was wading the lake one afternoon. A couple dirtbags drove by and took it. I saw them take it, but not much you can do. The rod was no great loss, but I had...

Re: Have any good poaching bust stories to share?

Not fish poaching, but I was fishing when it went down. My bud and I were running through a small cut between some islands on Amistad many years ago. Three guys on the shore chopping up a deer. ...

Re: Hoy Vey! New dog, "Mz. Turkey," adopt a Dog, got out the front door.

You want to talk "runners"? We were adopted by a stray Aussie cattle dog a couple years ago. She wandered into the yard and made herself right at home. Well, we took her to our vet to check for a...
