Thanks for the replies...
The wind,plus my boat moving(by me),is probably playing a big part in the line going under the lily pads.I'm so used to moving all the time,going to have to try anchoring...

Been chasing chain pickerel,in the lily pads lately.
Have a question on acouple things.

I'm using a floating line but it will still submerge enough to go under pad.
It been messing up my hook...

Coming from a conventional fishing background,I'm looking for a fly that has a longer,narrow profile,that is fished top water(mimics fluke).

I went back 10-15 minutes later,probably wasn't long enough.
I did land alittle bass there,the weather was to crappy and I was to lazy to switch to a different style fly.

Is it the name that has caught my eye and are either of the other 2 as good?
I fish mostly smallmouth and chain pickerel and I can buy...
